Well that was good!
The Wild Horses Tour went to 19 different venues, from folk clubs and festivals to cafes and churches, across the UK and played to around 6000 people. And it was excellent – thanks everyone who came out. I really hope you enjoyed it as much as me. Don’t ask for highlights, there were too many ‘moments’ to mention but getting feedback from people who were there has been so encouraging.
And we raised around £3000 for Global Care’s Syrian appeal.
What was said…
Warwick Folk Festival review (elementarywhatson.com) – In the main tent, the excellent Coventry-based singer-songwriter Rob Halligan (right) won over the crowd with an easy charm and combination of his own work and better-known folk songs. His version of Dougie MacLean’s “Ready for the Storm” was outstanding.
Jenny – Princes Risborough – We enjoyed an evening with Rob at the Elim Church, Princes Risborough on Saturday 18th. As always, Rob’s incredible gift speaks for itself. Relaxed, fabulous musicality with snippets of story which take you by surprise and sometimes catch your breath!
Stewart – Boghall – Really enjoyed your set in Boghall last night. Some great captivating and well thought out songs and fabulous guitar playing.
Mike – Reading RISC – when Rob Halligan did his thing it was superb, huge thanks for coming down from Coventry and driving back afterwards, take a bow…..recommend listening to Rob’s music on YouTube and then buying the new album.
Don – Saltcoats – Absolutely fantastic evening with Rob at South Beach. Amazing music and a powerful story.
John – Coventry – Really special evening. Rob had us gripped with his stories as well as his songs. I laughed and cried in equal measure. Thanks Rob.
So roll on 2018 -lets do it again… but better!
